The ICEBOX is a scalable optical storage archive ideal for managing rapidly increasing volumes of data that are characteristic of modern library, legal, compliance, digital preservation, and disaster-recovery use cases. It is designed for archival workflows where large files may need to be permanently stored, secured, and retrieved repeatedly over long periods of time. 20 TERABYTES OF IMMUTABLE AND REMOVEABLE STORAGE
An ICEBOX drive unit holds a single removeable ICE CAPSULE for a total of 20TB of write-once storage capacity. Single or multiple storage volumes in a single capsule can be created across multiple ICEBOX units, making storage expansion very simple while keeping total storage costs low.
ABSOLUTE PROTECTION
AND SECURITY
Write-Once (WORM) optical disc media is
immutable by accidental or malicious tampering of data, cyber-attacks, ransomware, and self-replicating viruses. The ICEBOX's fully enclosed design guards against entry of dust, dirt, and sand. Single discs can be inserted and removed through the front panel and password security keypad.
INDEX AND FIND ALL OFFLINE DATA
The ICEBOX features a passive RFID sensor to track all data online and offline stored on removeable storage capsules. All data storage volumes are identified with wireless tags for inventory management and retrieval.
OPTIMAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Now you can conserve energy and lower power costs as storage systems grow. The ICEBOX conusmes 60 WATTS of power when it is active, and only 12 WATTS when it is idle. The fan-less design requires no energy for cooling.

Get instant direct access to volumes and files on the ICEBOX unit. There is no winding or sequential searches. To enable greater user productivity, the ICEBOX bi-drive design allows for simultaneous read access while write operations are active. Read/Write at 144Mbp/s per drive.

ICEBOX Optical Storage drives reads and writes data using the industry standard Universal Disk Format (UDF) and can be read by most standard backward compatible Blu-ray BD-XL drives in the market.

Easily swap Ice Capsules to and from the ICEBOX with no electrical mechanisms. Just turn the handle counterclockwise to remove and turn it clockwise to lock it into place. The worry-free design provides added reliability from mechanical failures, errors, or robot arm maintenance.
